Not for the faint of heart.

The popular bear dive is held every year in mid winter, Normal air dive club next to emmerentia dam is the the holders of this crazy competition. Competitors should be qualified divers and must have a will for living (otherwise you freeze to death) , the goal of the competition is to dive out the most interesting objects one can find in a viz. of about 50 cm (my arm is longer than that !!!!), shortest dive time of 5 min. and no longer than 15 min. , seeing that the temperature is only 7 degrees(they dont want you to catch a cold!). Well crazy like i am , i suited up (o , no dry suits for you people with fancy pancy dive gear,wet suits please!!!!!!!!!!!!!) checked my buddy and of we went walking towards the water thinking is cona be cold! And it were cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooolllllllllllllllllllllllllllldddddddddddddddd! Any how ,got in the water , hart pounding , gasping for air we paddle towards the dam wall.

Dived a total of 13 min. came up with very interesting objects.

My buddy is a member of normal air dive club,and came in 3 place. In the non member class i took 1 st place and got a nice R price.

So next year i hope to see some of Pretoria's divers their to come freeze there nuts of whit me.
